Well your ECM/ECU works by a MAP based system. The MAP sensor sees a certain PSI or inHgand takes into account your throttle percentage via a TPS and a few other sensors. Then the ECU/ECM knows exactly how much fuel, and how much timing is required. If the MAP doesn't work correctly, I dont understand how a FCD will help.
FCD's also really work by NOT allowing the ECU/ECM to cut fuel when it sees boost, that's about all they do

thanks for the info. and just cause he doesn't know what he talking about doesn't mean he shouldn't be my friend. and i told him all this and he didn't know this is exactly how an fcd worked anyways lol. he's not familiar with boost lol
decided i'm not gonna get it anyways and i'm just gonna fork out for the map sensor. will need replaced reguardless. even if this theory worked i couldn't run the thing on the car forever lol
