To go along with that, they need to slow down at a reasonable pace. It would not be very smart to lock the brakes and pitch the car into a 4 way skid at the site of the yellow. That is a quick way to guarantee "the big one" will happen behind you as all of the other cars suddenly find you stopped in front of them.


When you race, you are taught to slow down at the yellow, but NOT to come to a quick, sudden stop. Throw in the blind curves of this course with the barricades, and I don't blame the driver for not slowing down too much.

It's the safety car's fault.
