I think if you ride smart you can enjoy a motorcycle and live a long fruitful life. My son wants a motorcycle and it scares me. I dont know how to handle it. I dont want to deny him the experience,.. yet I am fearful that he will get killed.

I still ride every now and then. My father inlaw has a Harley Heritage and a Road King. I like riding the Heritage. I've had a few close encounters,.. but then I've had more close encounters in cars and trucks. The thing is,.. I am safer in my truck with air bags then I am on that bike. In the end you will have to make the final decision for yourself. Be attentive and aware of whats around you and for the love of God,.. wear at least a leather jacket and wear a helmet.
