I personally sold my Speedpro unit for a Hondata system. Is the hondata better then the Speedpro...No. But for what I wanted and needed, it was the smarter choice. Boost ranges on the speedpro go in 1psi increments. On the hondata, they have some gaps in the tables where you have to extrapolate the range. John....Vapor....does so many of these that this extrapolation is easily done on the dyno. 19psi - 23psi....(I think if I remember right...that is a typical gap). There are many other features that the Speedpro doesnt have that the hondata does. Speedpro you have to run 2 engine harnesses....or make another one to run the alternator, vss, etc. Hondata...plug it in and done.
But the kicker is here: John is a great Hondata tuner. Who is the closest tuner for AEM, SpeedPro, etc? John can do it, but who knows those systems like the back of their hand? John knows hondata, and he is local. I made 464 with my hondata on a small sized turbo. I sold my speedpro and made 700 dollars on the difference. Think of how much power I could make with a +700 savings.
But it all boils down to.....what system does your tuner feel the most comfortable with?
