A little off topic but I know a guy who is selling his 87 GTI 16v for $2k. It runs fine just has a bad tranny. He put in new A/C and brand new 16 wheels and tires. If youve got a good tranny in your ride you could drop it into this one and have an awesome car. I havent actually seen it but if you want more info or if you want to see the car contact me.
