Decide what your want from the car before you go look at it and decide whats important to you to be well maintained or in good shape. lots of people like to swap the motor for SR20s or RB26s in that case if you have another car to drive buying one with a peice of crap KA shouldnt really worry you. if you need the car for a reliable daily then just go over all the normal checks you would do while buying any used car. check for leaks, rust, sagging suspension, clicks, knocks, bangs, smoke, dents, dings, missing pieces, but like i said before its depending on whats important to you. im sure alot of people would agree a good body is pretty important in buying a 240 because in that cars life most other things are gonna get swapped out or upgraded depending on the owners tastes and budget.

Thus assuming you want to build it up. If you just want a bone stock 240 chances are the one your looking at is gonna be crap. lol. its a rare commodity to find a stock 5spd 240 in someones garage that hasnt seen some sideways time. thats another thing to check. if the rear tires are toast then you know its been molested like a red headed step child. your also gonna want to check the tie rods and things of that nature, i cant tell you how many cars like 240s, rx7 things like that, that have been chucked into corners and now have buggered up steering components and suspension.

just be smart.
