If you are really wanting to comapre the two in straight line performance, then a quick look through youtube yeilds some pretty interesting heads up races betweem the S2000 vs. SRT-4 with a majority of the wins going to the SRT-4, mod'd or stock.

It's an odd comparison really, it's like comparing an olympic speed skater (S2000)to a stout running back (SRT-4) and asking who is the better athlete?

It really depends on what you want your car to do. And I'd imagine the retail prices between each is vastly more for the used S2000 over the used SRT-4. If money wasn't a deciding factor and I personally had to pick between the two, I'd take the S2000 just because I wouldn't mind having a soft-top, nimble sportscar in my garage. But, if you do account for $ figure, the SRT-4 no doubt is a budget minded, durable little hot rod, that can seat 4, haul ass, and is not too bad on gas.

Both are good cars....so, pick what you like for what you can afford. Be damned the naysayers...on both sides of the fence.
