honestly to answer the original question, the rods arent going to be the weak point. The ringlands on the cast pistons are going pop before anything. stock bottm ends in dohc vtec hondas are pretty much bullet proof. if i were you, and you were going to stick with the b16, i would put forged pistons in it that are the same as stock compression. then you will make more hp on less psi of boost, and since you dont have to worry about cast pistons, you can turn it up until you reach your power goals. make sure your turbo setup is tuned properly. otherwise your cyl pressures will be high enough to spin a rod bearing. thats just my .02.

on another note, ive seen stock block ls motors make over 300 at the wheels, and a stock block gsr will easily make over 350 at the wheels with the right turbo setup and tune.
