Im not saying its a huge advantage, just throwing it out there that KA24DE's are more reliable..single cams are just old and blow up looking at them now-a-days, unless yours is maintained?
And drifting a single cam is a learning curve.
I learned on a KA24E, if you can drift with NO power and do really well with NO power: you can drift WITH power because you have car control.
Suspension work helps a lot. But with stock ride height you have that sweet weight transfer/ROLLLLL to help you haha.. I went from KA24E straight to SR

Not sure if your ready for these sorts of events with stock ride height and an open diff, you'd be wasting 200.00. If anything go there to Watch

Best advice, learn to NOT rely on a locked rear and power and you will learn good car control fundamentals.

learn to drive at Desoto and get better as you go along, dont rush into shit unless you really want to.
