Then why buy a nice sub and put it in a crappy box, when the box is the most important part of the equation? You can put a crappy sub in a good box, and it will sound good. You can put a nice sub in a crappy box, and it will sound horrible.

It does ALOT more than just hold the speaker. It shapes the sound you hear.
