This definately depends on the brand and also picture (i.e. LCD Plasma etc) If he had a sony 52in LCD TV brand new I would like to see that sell for anything short of ohhh.... I donno 1600 at least.. and thats a guess I dont wanna waste my time looking on bestbuy.com
