I think future roads that separate the lanes between large vehicles and small efficient ones will help this market grow. It may be possible that future cities will only allow small vehicles on its streets and that larger vehicles (i.e. box trucks and semi's) will have separate routes to take and large vehicles like SUVs, Crossovers and trucks will be left to the outskirts for parking.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
