I am in favor of more grip in the turns.
Mathematically, you might compare the tire wear numbers versus the price...
1.Divide the high dollar tires' price into the low dollar tires' price.
2.Multiply that number times the low dollar tires' wear number.
3.If the answer is less than the high dollar's wear number, then
financially the high dollar tire is a better deal.........
....all else being equal.......which it never is....everybody has their favorite way of comparing tires.....-Bob

Both are very similar in ratings, the Potenza have a bit more cornering stability, dry traction, steering response, noise comfort, and dry traction. Not huge differences but the Potenza's are $100 more total for all 4?
