Good topic but where does the heat go ?

Does it make the remaining exhaust system hotter ? Does it make the internals hotter ?

I have been thinking about wrapping my new turbo headers but wonder where this heat will be going.

I don't see many professional race cars with the stuff.

Anyone have a good explanation ?
