I did look it up the 88' Gtu is one of the rarest rx7's in the US [Id still rather have a Turbo II]

I don't understand why it's rare? It was one trim above the base trim which was the SE and the SE 2+2
GTu never came in Automatic. All of them were standard. It had the same motor as the SE and GXL, and it came with a Tape player IIRC. It had manual windows, and I can't remember if it had power door locks. The front seats were different though. It was one of the lightest FC's. The suspension was normal. Not that many GTu or GTu's models were shipped to the states.
Edit: I heard rumors that the GTu's are the same as the GTu except it had a turbo rear and turbo tranny. Not sure if that is true or not. Never ever found any article to back that up. Oh well. I miss my 88 GTu now
