Thats not quite the same. Those cars are spinning, but they are putting enough power down to accelerate the car HARD.

The same goes for the NMRA SSO (super street outlaw) cars. they are putting down 1600-2000 HP on a tiny 26x10.5x15 (for the power and performance).

Those cars spin all the way down the track, but it's a controlled spin.
It has been a while since I followed the class, but a few years ago they were running mid 7's around 180. Spinning or not, they are getting traction enough to run the time.


Running a low 13 @ 130 is truly not getting traction and wasting power and momentum. He used traction as an excuse. A B.S excuse at that.
