Default This is what happens with bad fitment.

My roommate got new wheels and tires for his BMW last year. 19" CSL replica wheels... I think they are like 8.5" or 9" wide on the front and maybe 10" on the back. Stock was 17x7". He put 235/35's on front and 265/30's on back. The tires are so not wide enough for those wheels, and sidewalls are too thin. When you lay the wheels down they hit the rim instead of the tire. Fronts have curb rash all over them already 'cause they stick out too far and the tire rim guard doesn't work. I told him to get different wheels and/or bigger tires... but he went with those because the guys on the bimmer forums told him those would look cooler and have a better stance.

So he hit a pot hole the other day and this is what happened... just like I told him it would. So much for the rubber band look.
