I use a Turbonetics T3/T04E ceramic ball bearing Super 50 with a stage III wheel in a .63A/R turbine housing. The flow rating on this turbo is 47lbs/min, which will support 470HP in static flow. I am currently using a modified RevHard cast log style manifold, and a Spearco 2-231 liquid to air intercooler. I have a Deltagate MKII wastegate, and Godzilla BOV. Alminum intercooler piping is from Burns Stainless. I use a Jabsco permanent magnetic drive water pump, an RJS 5 gallon racing fuel cell for water, and Camaro radiator dedicated to just the intercooler. I also picked up a set of electric fans from the junk yard to cool the radiator. I like having the liquid to air setup the way I do, because with the truck, I've got tons of space for everything. The radiator is under the bed at about a 30* angle, and the pump/reservoir are in the truck box, along with the battery I've pulled the equivalent in water weight for the intercooler from the front end, in an effort to effectively equalize the truck's weight distribution; in addition to further front end lightening modifications. The truck still has very little weight over the rear axle, so I'm stuck working to positively affect this.
The inducer diameter of the compressor wheel is 2.122", and the exducer is 3.200". Maximum efficiency of the comp is 78% at 3.0175 pressure ratio moving roughly 33.25lbs/min of airflow; pretty unbelieveable! That pressure ratio equates to about 29.6psi (2.01 bar)!!
You may be able to locate the online compressor map at
www.turboneticsinc.com; not to be confused with the standard 50 trim wheel, however.
