Default looking at buying a 91 prelude.

ok well my buddy is looking at buying a 1991 prelude SI 2.1l 4cyl. its a 5speed and its really clean. its got a swapped in motor out of the same generation car only like 1 year newer with 60k on it (same size motor it originally had)
heres the link
honda prelude si 5spd super clean

the car has 106k on the body. the only thing im worried about is the price is a little high compared to bluebook
1991 Honda Prelude - Private Party Pricing Report - Kelley Blue Book

and he said just recently it started blowing white smoke on startup but once it warms up it goes away. he said he hasnt put but 30 miles on the car in the last year and that it wasnt smoking when he stopped driving it.
So my question is
1. is it a good deal if my buddy could get it for 2200-2500
and
2. white smoke is caused by a bad headgasket? just from sitting? cracked cylinder head?

thanks for any help
