Not only has it been proven, but it makes much more sense being that colder air is more dense. If the intake that mokey suggested does what he says it does and is reasonably priced i would definetely get that one.
i guess i should've said that it's not worth the extra $$$ for the amount of HP you gain gong to a CAI. i know the thing about cold air is more dense and contains more oxygen per unit of air; and more about volumetric efficiency then you'd prolly care to hear about. if that unit is actually made by Iceman, i'd go with that, though it would be a pain in the ass to remove it every single time it rains. i don't trust bypass valves, my friend hydrolocked his motor and he had one in his eclipse with the bypass. that was enough for me to stay away.
