i cracked my converter and need to replace it.

since we don't have emmissions test anymore should i just get a straight pipe?

someone told me a straight pipe would add a little HP
and would be better for my engine?
i think it's BS but i wanted to know for sure.


so,
get a new converter?
or just a straight pipe?
