This screams bad idea.

How will you know what sort of torsion this bar will apply to the end links? Sway bars aren't just thrown together, they have to be matched to the spring rates and weight of a car they're going on. This is precicely WHY godspeed sway bars suck. They're just huge. At a minimum different wall thickness for the pipe you're using as the cross pipe will have to be analyzed.

I'm not saying you can't do the calculations, you're a smart guy, I just think it's not going to turn out how you want it to unless you do some substantial research and calculations ahead of time... throwing any old bar on there isn't going to work.
