1. Set the white balance on your camera read the manual it will tell you how.

2. Photo 1, the car is not the center of focus and your eye is drawn to the light making it a poor composition, photo 2 is a lot better in terms of composition, there is something in photography and art called the rule of thirds (google it) some cameras come with a grid that helps with it, read the manual.
