The G8 GXP has been a great car for my boyfriend so far. I can't believe that I am saying this because I know it added to the weight of the car but the seat warmers are sooo nice in this cold weather.
He has had it out and he doesn't care for the suspension that is on the rear but says he hasn't ever been really happy with GMs choices when it comes to that. Because the car isn't in production it never made this test that we are discussing in this thread, it would have been interesting if it had.
It's a very roomy 4 door. Four of us traveled to the LSX Shootout last year in it and the back seat passengers were as comfy as us in the front.
On a non family note for using the G8, he also took all 4 tires from his Camaro for balancing and put them in the G8. That's a lot of room. I don't think the new Camaro has that kind of space.
The GT is good, it just doesn't have a manual transmission.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
