Well this article i was reading refers to this a 5.0 will get you 400 hp.This is done with stock rods, pistons, and crank. Also they are using the 1989 motor wich I have , the cam they are using is comp cams extreme energy 282 (565/574)(232/240) Also the intake of choice was a victor jr. Also the dart windsor heads with extrude hone power putty, the extrude improved airflow to 50cfm per runner more. Comp cams 1.6 ratio roller rockers, the carb choice was a demon 650.Now to the headers a set of hooker 1 3/4-inch and short collector extensions.

machine work includes: block clean also require minor honing.
the pistons were treated to some minor relieving for the larger valves. The short block was milled so the pistons were .005 out of the hole.(this was done to slightly increase the static compression ratio)

Reason for head choice:The reason for this was because aluminum heads tend to absorb and dissipate the heat generated in the combustion chamber.
Also milling the heads .050 to get the compression ratio of 10.8:1 roughly

ignition: msd billet distributor was set at 36 degrees total advance. With a digital 7box

CSI electrical water pump was added also a wilson 4 hole spacer
