Well I do have LS1 brakes on the car right now. In the front anyhow. The back has LT1 brakes. The LS1 camaro calipers are gravity cast so they distort underload/heat and apply pressure across the rotor differently causing the rotors to warp easily. The pistons are also larger than the C5 caliper pistons and that combined with what was just stated above warps the smaller 12inch rotor. So the C5 caliper and the larger rotor will absorb more heat, much less chance of warping and stop quicker...
The Rear Brakes...I can use the C5 rear calipers and pads but the rotor doesn't want to mate with the Fbody backing plate... So either use the LS1 rear rotor or try modifying the backing plate to accommodate the C5 rotor... if thats even possible.
Either way it'll be a nice upgrade.
