Also, one of the vents on the top has gained the ability to move side to side as well as front to back and I'm worried it won't be too long before it just falls off completely.
The helmet has never been down or dropped and I take pretty good care of it.
What can I do to resolve this issue? Minimizing downtime is very important to me as I don't have a car and ride everyday, rain or shine, irregardless of the temperature. If it is time to purchase a new helmet I will more than likely go with a different brand as my experience so far has been sub-par.

In response to your inquiry, first solution try replacing the base plates which holds the shield. The base plate kit you can buy at any local HJC dealers no more then $9.00. Second solution for the vents, try Epoxy glue or double sided tape around the bottom edge of the vents to hold it in place.

...it doesn't say much for the integrity of a product when the manufacturer's suggestion for "repair" involves the use of super glue or double sided tape; Jesus fn Christ, it's time for a new helmet!
