Probably the only real 'limit' to the Ford EEC is RPM. The A9L I have heard will tap out around 7500RPM. You can install a high frequency crystal and get a little more out of it, I'm not sure how much.
I am pretty sure the new generation PCM's in the 2005+ Mustangs could blow past 7500 RPM without blinking. In the case of those PCM's, there is no real limit to what you could run with it.

haha For Sure Brian, I know some guys spinning NA 4V's with lighter Cast Cranks and Aluminum fllywheels to over 8K with the EEC-V and the 05+ PCM's are even more refined!!

And I agree for the OP to get some High impedance 60's with Aeromotive Rails!
