i have a lincoln weld pac 100HD, can get a gas conversion for it but i've been using the flux core. it's a little messy but cleans up easy enough. i've done sheetmetal work, sub frames,etc with it. great little welder.
Have you tried using spatter spray? It works wonders on the mess.
