Jeremy drove an Alpina Z8, thats a totally different car.

The Alpina has the 4 liter V8 from a 540, the BMW Z8 has the V8 of the E39 M5

The Alpina also has a different suspension setup and an automatic gear box.....and thats what killed the car.


Z8's arent meant to be sports cars anyway, it was an image product by BMW, a homage to the 507 Roadster.

Thats the only BMW my dad never brought home when he was a BMW manager :-/

I wonder if my brother's boss, BMW and Alpina dealer, has a BMW or Alpina Z8, he has 2 industry halls packed with over 70 cars, he owns M1s and 5 different Z1 Roadsters, one of them is an Alpina too (66 ever made)
