You probrably weren't trying to compare the two, but when you call my MR2 and old car, you are only using your point of view coming from a 94 Hyundai with hot flames and I just wanted to educate you.

Here is what you do... go pull you engine and tranny out and swap in there a Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo motor with front LSD direct from Japan. Put an aftermarket clutch, RedLine Synthetic Gear Lube, Intake and custom exhaust. Be sure to get all your custom fuel lines in order and Polyurethen motor mounts, upgrade your brake calipers and pads, put a good spal fan on that intercooler, install your sway bars front and rear so you can stay on the road, and don't forget the rest of the suspension.

Then you have something to compare it to, and I wonder how much money and time it would take to get you there?

This MR2 is already completed. It took just over $ 6k to get here and 1 years time. Its ready to be daily driven for the next 100,000k miles pushing 12lbs of instant boost and getting 32mpg on a 1.6 Liter JDM motor. You can also take it to the 1/4 mile and the SCCA track.
