the only role c/r plays in cam sizing is
how long you can hold and lift a valve b/c of the hieght of the pistons and the time it takes to reach the top of the deck.

and for your information, an "LS" has a 9.2:1 not a 9.3

FYI (concerning the "LS")
You are correct, the usdm model runs 9.2:1
The jdm b18b runs 9.3.?:1 (rounded to 9.4:1)

Agressive vtec cams do idle like aftermarket cams to an extent.
For one they bring the idle up from 800 rpms to 1200-1300 according to most posts I have seen on HT.

I have heard of jun 3's (bseries cams) causing higher then normal idle & stall issues if they are not tuned properly.

The point I was trying to make was, do not stick agressive cams in a motor that is being sprayed when it has a stock valvetrain or you might run into issues when spraying at high rpm's :-/
