most aftermarket vtec cams use the same low rpm lob as stock or a lob that is very close in lift and duration so rough idle won't be a problem, so the only time the "ruff daily driving" will come into play is in VTEC, which i don't think will be a bad thing.
the only role c/r plays in cam sizing is
how long you can hold and lift a valve b/c of the hieght of the pistons and the time it takes to reach the top of the deck.
and for your information, an "LS" has a 9.2:1 not a 9.3
