To the OP if you really like wiring, look into making some harnesses for mid to late 90's mercedes benzes. There was a manufacturing defect in the wires they used and the wire insulation literally falls apart and shorts out the wires. Some cars like for the V12 S600's cost over $6k for a new harness (from dealer) and can have wait times of over 6 months to get them. I repaired/rebuilt a couple of S600 harnesses and averaged about $150/hr after materials. Replacement harnesses for the lesser models are a good bit cheaper but it still may be worthwhile money wise.
