first, no one that was driving the comp has a FD or D1 license.
second, we cannot make a competition for 'new guys' to win. Thats part of competition, it rewards those with more skill/seat time/and continued dedication.
You can't expect to come out and win when you haven't put in the same time other people have. If we made little tiny specific categories it would still be impossible to 'police' the whos in what rank and who cares.
At this point, nearly everyone out there should be more concerned with what they need to work on or what they need to learn rather than winning a category designed for 'unskilled driving'.
I'm not ripping anyone and especially not BZ since you have improved very rapidly but its part of the game to suck when you start and get better with continued practice. Its silly to give the new drivers to give them a baby judging system so they can get false sense of accomplishment. Everyone has gotta put in their time to be recognized for their driving.
Took me 4 years of hard work to get where I am today and 125% of my money (ya, I'm actually in debt), and I still only think about what I need to do to get better.
Drive more events, at different venues, with each their own challenges, and become a well rounded driver. I look forward to new tracks and wonder if and how I will conquer them.
Brett drove really awesome last night and he has been so close to doing that for like 2 years now, no one last night should feel cheated by that.
*That being said I wish I could just spend time riding with people to help correct the little mistakes that are adding up to them making big mistakes.
