Thad true. I was going to dyno at the upcoming supra meet. My mod list is very standard among the 12valve crowd and people are putting down high 500s tq at the tires thru unlocked stock converters. Btw, the stock converters are Very inefficient, in the 67% range. My new billet converter is 89% so alot more of the power makes it the rear tires. These 12valves don't have egrs and don't suffer any of the problems associated with any oher diesel engines. The only weakness is the dowel pin in the timing case. It rattles out, falls into the timig gears and breakes the case open. I've already fixed this though. The stock headgasket starts to be a problem over 50psi of boost and requires either torquing the stock head bolts, switching to head studs or going all out for a marine headgasket... But that's only necessary if your running compound twins and a worked injection pump with bigger injectors and lines.
I can answer just about any questions you have wih these trucks
