Thanks for the compliments fellas, I did not post this to start shit, I just have a different opinion that it can be done with less than what i'm using. Look at what the guys are doing in the NMRA with 310ci, and all the limitations, the make my junk look slow.

Tommy I guess youy're right it is not a run of the mill, but what makes a stock block 306 with a hydraulic roller on pump gas not a run of the mill? when it was fuel injected it would still get over 20mpg. It does not have shaft rockers, no titanium valves, still the stock stainless valves that come in the heads. I have just worked this junk to death for a year and a half and am not satisfied with it yet, hell I have just about worn the threads in the bellhousing out getting the clutch right.

To the OP, IMO don't settle for GT40 heads and alphabet cams, save you're money and buy one time. There are to many good deals out there these days on aftermaket heads and cams, especially used, just do alot of research before you buy.
