I did these myself The only thing they are lacking is the final sealing step, though I could skip it but if you do it causes the color to fade in the sun.




pretty simple process process really. Sulfuric acid bath the part for a calculated time based on surface area, applying 12v charge to part and having a scrap piece of aluminum as a cathode (where the current flows out and gets all the junk built up on it)

afterwards soak it in dye

after the dye I tried to seal it by putting it in boiling water, but using a sealer would be better. playing with acid is fun

i would offer to do it for you but I dont wanna be responsible for anyone elses stuff in case I mess it up (which is easy to undo though).
