Exclamation Mitsubishi Eclipse Engine Problem

Car:
1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST 2.0 Turbo DOHC

Okay, here is where I am at I am looking for some opions on what this could be because what I have done already didn't seem to fix the problem.

I took my Mitsubishi Eclipse to the car wash and washed the car while I was doing this I decided to Wash the engine aswell.... I was careful while doing so trying my best to avoid spark plugs, alternator, battery and so fourth...

**NOTE CAR WAS RUNNING FINE BEFORE I WASHED IT**

I then started my car to remove it from the washing bay so I could drive it and it started to idle really low at about 500-100 RPM and it would stall out if I didn't press on the accelerator to rev it.. now if I reved it and kept it at 2,000 RPM it would be fine and not stall out but the moment I let off the accelerator it would start going really low in RPM (500-100) and eventually stall out or go to the point of almost stalling (unreadable on the RPM gauge) and then shoot back up to 500ish and then go back down and stall.

After all this I attempted to drive it home so I could check it out, it drove out of the car wash fine after I gave it gas and didn't let the RPM's drop too low but the challenge came when I came to the STOP sign, I had to low down and when I go there to stop it stalled and I couldn't get it to rev this time no matter how fast or how hard to pressed on the accelerator it wouldn't rev at all... even if I held it down it would stall out if I held it down or let off and if I kept Pressing and Depressing the accelerator it would keep it from stalling but only going to 500 or lower and keep wanting to stall but because I let off the accelerator and push it back in it didnt stall.

Finally I got it home and I was checking it out it got the point where no matter what I couldnt keep it running so I went out and bought a new Fuel Filter and put it in I also disconnected the battery ( had no choice to get to fuel filter) and I plugged it back in after replacing fuel filter, now the car will rev fine and stay running with no problems and no RPMS jerking up and down if it is at 2,000 RPM or higher... if I let it drop below 2,000 it is hard to keep it steady and it is hard to keep it running it dosnt stall as much as it did before I replaced the fuel filter and disconnected the battery but it still stalls if I dont rev it to 2,000 or higher.

I hooked my computer up to my car and I get NO ERROR CODES at all there is absolutly nothing on the screen ERROR wise so that is why I am lost at what this could be... let me inform you all this has happened before when I washed my car and I thought it was because I let my car idle for too long I had no idea it would be the water doing something and it did the same thing last time I finally gimped it home and let it set over night and it worked the next day and ran fine no problems untill yesterday after I washed my engine.... anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this if you need anymore information please post and let me know I will send pictures of the idle and such so if you need more information let me know I am just so lost with this because I have no idea what it could be especially when there is NO ERROR CODES...
