George Washington was an interesting and in my opinion, brilliant man, for his time. He was religious, that is for sure. He advocated judeo-christian values and worshipping God. BUT for every speech you can find about him telling us how we should act with respect to God, you can find another of him telling the country how they should not require or even infer that we are SUPPOSSED to. Good sense like that is something we should see more of today.
