I want to point out that people have said this, verbatim, every year since I got my WRX in June 2001.

"Oh it's the WRX guys. Things have changed since that damn ugly car came here."

"Oh it's the STI guys. Things have changed since..."

"Oh, things just aren't the same as they were last week..."

As an aside, some people like myself just aren't looking to stop and shoot the shit. What's wrong with a sincere "Thanks" ?

I wave at any tasteful WRX/STI I see on the road. I just don't want to stop in a parking lot and talk.
