American car companies have always been at the fore-front up until the last few years so who really has had the upper hand ?

But I am glad the Euro / Jap companies are finally getting there head out of there asses and building decent cars because it will make the American companies work harder.
I dont car what you say some of the worst american cars were produced in the 80's.Honda was selling B16A in the late 80's it had 160hp.What would that do back then?Honda was the first japenese car company to be approached by the americans. The head of dodge(Lee Iacoca) tryed to buy them and they refused.Honda is still independent. The only thing america has the uperhand on is eating Mcdonalds, not building cars!
