I dont see why the rotation would matter If you had the cam timing swapped the piston is still going down on the intake stroke drawing in air from wherever its available valves are closed for compression power strokes and then the piston is sill going up for the exhaust stroke and since there would be valves open at appropriate times the gasses would go out right? I have no clue why someone would want to do this but I was curious why this coulndt be done.
