and i dont think youve actually driven on stretched tires, it seems you think that once a tire isnt bulging over the sidewalls that its instantly like driving on banana peels.
Its not so much the matter of them being stretched, its running a tire that narrow in the first place, my car was on 215's, and while I did manage to cut a couple sub 2.0 60' times at the track, which required a bunch of careful footwork, most of the time giving enough throttle to push those times resulted in some wheelspin, I certainly could have benefited from a wider tire and merely had an SR with fmic, clutch, filter, full exhaust, and a J30 lsd.
Like I said, stretch, is fine, a little bit of stretch generally looks great, much better than tire bulge, square or slightly stretched is nice, but running itty bitty tires is going to result in less traction.
