Al, I appreciate the answer. I firgured it was one of two things worn or torn, remember by torque arm has not been connected to the tranny for over a year so while it got used hard I wonder if it has been damaged for a long time. I had another question for you if you have the answer, what is the piston compression height for a 3.7 stroke and 6.125 rods for an ls1? I was seriously considering offset grinding the crank and am trying to get piston specs for the next purchase. Still not sure what the bore will be, but have it arranged with the shop to sonic test first then check with available piston sizes that fit my application.
