sounds to me like a Ls distributor cause all pr3 heads are the same with all dohc Vtec distributors that has to be the wrong one take off the distributor cap look inside see if you see on the shaft there is alot of teeth under that there sould be only 1tooth kindda fat for vtec does your friend have a VTEC controller if so then it mite be a ls distibutor
