How about a park, like Al Lopez or Ft. DeSoto? Plenty of shade and parking, plus picnic shelters and grills in case anyone wants to cook up some food? DeSoto might be a bit far for some people, but there are plenty of nice parks in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties to pick from.
