I doubt its the fact that there was a kit involved, generally you try to push what you are doing as some sort of set in billet steel fact that if you dont follow the stuck out wheels and giant monster hey im a racer body kit, you are wrong. Some people like things a bit more slick, smooth, blended, subtle etc, dont try to push what you are doing as the only way to do it and you likely wont get so much for negative responses.
