there is no room for screw ups when regearing either you know how to do it or you dont. do not attempt it if you dont know what you are doing. if they qouted you $1600 for ring and pinion f/r and both master install kits and labor that sound like a decent price but i would still shop around a bit. i have seen just the labor run from $300 to $500 per axle.
