well in this situation burgy there are a few variables that make a difference. The vette, even Z06 is designed to be a top notch sports car for the street. where as the viper was designed as a full blown race car with smog stuff on it. also what are the racing habits of the vette guys vs the viper owners. If the vette guys are going for ranking in a competative series racing every weekend and the viper guys are out there on open track days for fun, they are going to have very different levels of abuse on them. Also are the vette guys running box stock motors or are they modified motors that are failing them? and are they maintaining it like a full blown race car or like an abused street car? all things that clearly make a vast difference.

Unfortunatly the majority of the corvette racing experience i have been exposed to is primarily vintage so i cant say for sure what the LS-X's do in these instances.
